Nothing ever happens in Pocapaglia (which means "little hay") except for making wine and hunting truffles... What's a truffle?

A truffle is any of several subterranean edible ascomycetous fungi of  the genus tuber

Rich people grate truffle slivers on things like risotto or omelettes.

Special little yappy mongrel dogs can sniff them out under trees from kilometers away.

Every year, the Mayor of Alba, the most important town in the area, gives the biggest truffle to somebody famous. Nixon got one and so did Breznev and John Travolta (I think, but I'm not sure)

It's damned nice near Pocapaglia and my boys at the Colli Favorita Cantina make the best WINE - I don't want to exaggerate...
